Individual Therapy
Individual therapy provides a safe and confidential space for folks to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in the ongoing work towards personal growth and healing. Talk therapy isn’t advice; it’s a tool for self-discovery and deepening your relationship with yourself. Talk therapy provides the environment to gain deeper insights into your thoughts, emotions, values, patterns, and beliefs. Your therapist is here to support you in setting and achieving goals, improving self-esteem, and enhancing overall life satisfaction.
Every individual therapy experience is unique; it relies heavily on the dynamic between you and your therapy. Together, the therapy space creates a place for exploration, growth, and vulnerability, along with a sense of creativity and humour.
Who is it for?
Individual therapy is for everyone. Therapy can help you work through states of anxiety, depression, or grief. Therapy can help you process complex emotions like shame or anger. Therapy can help you examine and understand patterns in your life that are contributing to a feeling of being “stuck.” Ideally, therapy is a place to learn more about yourself and then use that knowledge to implement positive change in your life. Different clinicians will come to this work with different areas of specialization, but all therapists work from a trauma-informed, feminist place.
